SENIOR CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER

Location: Raleigh, NC
Description: Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to play a vital role within their Project Team. This position involves maintaining in-depth knowledge of construction projects and ensuring the efficient execution of contract requirements. The Senior Project Manager will report directly to the Operations Manager and collaborate closely with the Site Superintendent and Project Administrator to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget. Additionally, the role includes managing and mentoring a team of two Junior Project Managers.

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic management direction for construction projects.
• Oversee and mentor Junior Project Managers.
• Set clear project objectives and guidelines.
• Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and vendors.
• Maintain strong liaison with prime client contracts for smooth operations.
• Coordinate project scheduling and ensure timely submissions of RFIs and tracking of submittals.
• Monitor all construction and financial activities to ensure project success.
• Accountable for maintaining budget and achieving profitability goals.

Requirements:

• Dynamic and professional leader with at least 10 years of experience in construction project management with commercial/industrial projects.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Proficient in verbal and written communication.
• Capable of handling multiple tasks effectively.
• Exceptional organizational skills.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and mediation skills.
• Keen attention to detail to identify contract inconsistencies.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills.

Position Type: Full-time

Salary: $140,000 to $165,000 per year
