Job Summary: ELS is seeking professional Navy Radar Technicians to provide In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) and Test & Evaluation (T&E) support to the AN/SPQ-9B Radar program, including hardware and software engineering, problem resolution, installation and modernization, system integration, testing, data collection/analysis, review and update of specifications and documents, and writing test plans or reports. Description: Perform engineering analysis, assessments, investigations, distance support, and evaluations for AN/SPQ-9B Radar aboard Navy ships and laboratories.
Provide support for the development, review, and update of engineering, logistics, cybersecurity, data analysis, and post-event reports.
Develop, update, conduct tests, and validate software/hardware procedures, processes, and technical documents (drawings, technical manuals, MRCs) used by ISEAs and shipboard personnel to support assessments, T&E events, installations, and responding to Fleet Tech Assists (FTA).
Provide test support for Developmental Test (DT), Operational Test (OT), and Combat Systems Ships Qualification and Test (CSSQT); Self-Defense Test Ship and/or Land-Based Test Site test events.
Provide technical evaluation of and solutions to fleet problems including reviewing problems reported in messages, CASREPs, Feedback Reports, or other means; researching the MFOM Readiness Data Base; and developing solutions and evaluating the corrective action to the reported problems.
Evaluate performance specifically related to AN/SPQ-9B software/hardware reliability, operation, performance, and/or maintainability problems, as well as proposed design changes, advanced development changes, or system improvements.
Prepare, modify, review, and update technical documentation for technical accuracy and adequacy for all phases of lifecycle support.
Perform software installation and maintain qualifications required for NSWC PHD Cybersecurity Workforce. Minimum Requirements:
US Citizen
Secret clearance (to start)
5 years as a Navy Radar Technician for AN/SPQ-9B Radar (NEC V40A) or other Navy Radar Systems (such as NEC V13B, V90B, V91B, V97A, V98A, V99A, V22A, V27B, V28B, V30B, and others)
4 years of shipboard experience
Communication skills in briefing at all levels of the organization and ability to work with and foster a strong team environment
Analytical skills to effectively track, manage, and status multiple technical issues
Strong Microsoft Office Suites computer skills
Strong organizational and time management skills Preferred Qualifications: Technical degree
