The Banquet Bartender is responsible for positive guest interactions while accurately mixing and serving beverages to guests and servers in a friendly and efficient manner with the ultimate goal being total guest satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

-Greet guests, take beverage orders from event servers and directly from guests

-Mix drinks, cocktails and other bar beverages as ordered and in accordance with company standards

-Utilize high quality spirits, liqueurs, fruits, fresh herbs and spices to create sensational drinks for event guests

-Ensure that the assigned bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for mixing beverages and serving guests

-Rearrange furniture before, during, and after event(s)

-Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards

-Keep work area clean and organized

-Mastery of and fluency in the English language – a must

-Ability to effectively communicate with team members and guests

-A natural willingness and drive to exceed the guest expectations

-Ability to effectively listen and take direction from supervisors

-Ability to work independently or as part of a team during set up and execution of service

-Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds on a continuous basis

***General Requirements***

Bartending

When working in Bartending Position through Bluecrew, you may be expected to do any and all of the following:

  • Working independently or in a team to mix, prepare, serve, or transport alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Engaging with customers while operating a point of sale machine or cash register in a professional and courteous manner
  • Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, equipment, or other items at the start or end of your shift
  • Work on your feet, either stationary or constantly moving for the full shift
  • Reaching, crouching, bending over, and other physically strenuous activities at times, as required by the immediate supervisor
  • Comfortable working in a busy and at times hectic environment
  • There may be a specific dress code, but if it is not listed, please make sure to wear close-toed shoes and pants.
  • Note for that for any event staff position that requires handling food, you will need to follow GMP guidelines which include keeping your hair up, neatly trimmed fingernails, and you may be required to cover any facial hair.

It is important to Bluecrew that you go home in the same healthy state that you came to work in, so please do not accept this assignment if you cannot fulfill all of the above duties.
