As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex software capabilities for computer-based systems. Will work closely with other talented engineers to create software solutions that meet the needs of our clients. This position will require onsite customer support in Augusta, GA 75% of the time. Will also require up to 25% CONUS and OCONUS travel. Minimum Qualifications * Security Clearance - Current Secret level security clearance is required; U.S. Citizenship required. * At least 5 years of experience in Software Engineering, Modern Java Frameworks and Libraries (e.g. Spring, Guava) and a Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
* Experience in designing enterprise APIs.
* Experience in RESTful web services.
* Experience in Microservices architecture.
* Experience in Object Oriented Programming (OOP) paradigms.
* Experience with the agile software lifecycle.
* Has a proven ability to learn quickly and works well both independently as well as in a team setting.
* Experience with the Linux operating system.
* Experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Git, Nexus, Maven).
* Strong communication skills to interact with customers on a daily basis.
* Must be able to work onsite 75% of the time in Augusta, GA. However, flexibility is essential to accommodate any changes in the schedule.
* Must be able to travel CONUS and OCONUS 25% of the time. Preferred Requirements * Experience with AWS infrastructure and ingestion of data, NiFi, Kafka and Elasticsearch.
* Experience in distributed databases, NoSQL databases, full text-search engines (e.g. MongoDB, Solr).
* Scripting experience is a huge plus.
* Prior experience or familiarity with our Big Data Platform is a plus.
* Understanding of AGILE software development methodologies and use of standard software development tool suites. (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Github Enterprise, etc.).
