Education Qualifications:

East Market:Graduate of accredited Surgical Technologist programBrainerd Lakes:Graduate of accredited Surgical Technologist ProgramOR6 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist with the demonstrated qualification to sit for certification exam. Virginia Location only:Graduate or Certification from accredited surgical technologist program or graduate of accredited practical nursing programWest Market:Graduate of accredited Surgical Technologist programFosston Location only:Graduate or Certification from accredited surgical technologist program, or graduate of accredited practical nursing program.

Job Description:

Functions under the supervision of an RN in providing technical interventions in the Operating Room to patients of all ages. They are also responsible for tasks relating to instrumentation, equipment, prosthesis, and supplies. May perform other duties as assigned by the department.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

Required Certification/Licensure:

• National certification (NCCT) within 12 months of hire if hired following the completion of an approved Essentia Health apprenticeship program

East Market:

• Certified as a Surgical Technologist within one year of hire or transfer
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required or ability to obtain within 1 month of hire

East Brainerd Lakes:

• Certified as a Surgical Technologist within one year of hire or transfer
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required or ability to obtain within 1 month of hire

Virginia:

• Graduate or Certification from accredited surgical technologist program or valid state license to practice practical nursing

West Market:

Fosston Location:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required or ability to obtain within 1 month of hire

Fargo Location:

• Certified as a Surgical Technologist is required one year after hire
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required or ability to obtain within 1 month of hire
• Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) upon hire

Detroit Lakes Location:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required or ability to obtain within 1 month of hire

Hours Per Pay Period: 72
Compensation Range: $28.03 - $40.67 / hour
