Essential Functions



  • Develop cloud-based analytical platform to perform Missile Defense System analysis, including parsing, processing, and visualizing data

  • Work with Missile Defense domain experts to define analytical platform's behavior and direction

  • Design, build, and maintain websites, using authoring or scripting languages, content creation tools, management tools, or digital media

  • Execute unit and functional test plans and document results

  • Recommend and implement performance improvements

  • Utilize Jira to track progress, prioritize and execute tasks related to development work

  • Participates in selected programs, events, and meetings involving staff, Government customers, and visitors.





  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, aerospace engineering, systems engineering, mechanical engineering, mathematics, or closely related field required.

  • Must have at least 3 years of web application, service, or back-end development experience.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems.

  • Web framework experience with Django web framework or other web frontend framework (i.e. React, Angular)

  • Must be proficient in working with source control such as GIT and Gitlab.

  • Python experience required.

  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills are required.

  • Must be able to work independently and within a team environment.

  • Must be results-driven, hard-working, detailed oriented, and able to multi-task.

  • Must be able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.


Preferred Skills and Qualifications



  • 5 years of related experience.

  • 5 years of software development experience in Missile Defense.

  • Object Relational Mapper (ORM) experience such as Django or SQLAlchemy

  • Experience with containerization using Docker / Podman

  • Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) principles

  • Data Science methods and tools (i.e. Jupyter)

  • Cloud experience/knowledge, specifically Azure

  • Proficient in technical documentation languages (i.e. Markdown, restructured text, LaTex)


Clearance Requirements



  • Active Secret Security clearance required. Top-Secret Clearance preferred.


Background Requirements



  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

  • Must undergo and successfully pass a background investigation and drug test as a condition of placement into this position.
