Executive Suites Hotel & Resort, Squamish is seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to join their team. The Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing hotel sales, catering, and all revenue-generating activities. This role involves planning and executing sales strategies to achieve organizational goals and will oversee sales operations at both the Squamish and Whistler properties. REQUIREMENTS

  • •Prospect and develop new business opportunities across all group markets (corporate, government, association, tour and SMERF)
  • •Negotiates RFP’s for corporate clients & manage the performance of key accounts
  • •Qualify, assess, and negotiate rate programs for key Travel Consortia accounts and FIT Tour operators on an annual basis.
  • •Actively participate in weekly Revenue Management meetings to collaborate on strategies to maximize RevPar.
  • •Responsible for preparing customer correspondence, contracts, proposals and internal reports
  • •Maximize revenue whenever possible and target need periods
  • •Promotes cross selling within target markets and co-ordinates sales efforts with EH&R Regional Sales Offices
  • •Maintains personal contact with key accounts through sales calls to promote hotel services and build loyalty
  • •Ensure that clients are receiving the highest level of attention to their requests by monitoring, guiding and following up on sales inquiries
  • •Lead sales presentations, site inspections and host fam tours
  • •Knowledgeable on industry & consumer trends, competitive hotels and their plans, economy, business news and city-wide events; share knowledge gained with other members of the team.
  • •Professionally represent the hotels in the community and industry at organized events
  • •Conversant in current affairs as it pertains to building new business opportunities in key markets
  • •Respond to all sales leads, be it direct inquiry or referral, within 24 hours with no exception.
  • •Takes a proactive approach to business development initiatives through key account management, lost business reports and prospecting within targeted segments and garnish referrals
  • •Monitoring of hotels comp set and implement sales tactics to increase share
  • •Assist in the development of annual business plan & presentation
  • •Collaborate with General Manager/Operations Manager to increase TripAdvisor scores
  • •Submit weekly sales activity reports & quarterly action plan
  • •Provide input in the Annual Business Plan as it pertains to market trends, competitive hotel set and account production.
  • •Participate in Daily Stand Up Meeting, Weekly Sales Manager Wrap Up Meeting and Weekly RevMax Meetings
  • •Be self-motivated and employ an aggressive sales approach.
  • •This job includes all other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
  • •Maintain current and upcoming CREW / project based opportunities across Squamish and Whistler
  • •Focus on developing and maintain working relationships with the FILM Market
  • •Negotiates annual corporate rate extensions and nurture existing LNR relationships
  • •Develop new business opportunities and marketing strategies for Weddings, Holiday Party and other social events
  • •Focus on maximizing guestroom and food and beverage revenues with each opportunity
  • •Creatively entertain each business opportunity by employing revenue driven strategies and maintaining focus and commitment
  • •Foster confidence, continuous learning opportunities and good work ethic in working with Sales and Catering Coordinator
  • •Attend tradeshows, chamber events and other community \ lower mainland events to widen exposure to Squamish
  • •Maintain close relationships with local partners and continue to collaborate with local suppliers to promote Squamish as a destination
  • •This position reports to the Regional General Manager directly
  • •Minimum 5 year-experience in hotel sales role
