The Business Insights and Advanced Analytics Manager will support the team in driving critical analyses including product and launch performance, promotion effectiveness/ROI, and resource allocation. Responsible for providing strategic sales and marketing insights with guidance / supervision from their manager, work on multiple projects simultaneously, and collaborate extensively with partner groups within and outside of the Commercial Organization. Reports to the Director, Business Insights and Advanced Analytics.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:• Provide technical/analytical expertise to team through big data analytics• Apply analytical and statistical methods to answer a variety of portfolio level business questions, using multiple data sources and technical tools• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of promotional efforts, projects, and practices and identify opportunities to optimize value of investments• Clearly and concisely present analytic methodology, results, and insights to stakeholders• Provide objective analysis and recommendations to support decision making and to enable the execution of key business initiatives• Partner effectively and collaborate with internal divisions to provide holistic analytical insight• Build peer support and strong internal relationships with colleagues• Provide technical/analytical expertise to team through secondary data analytics (claims, Xponent, internal data)• Apply analytical and statistical methods to answer a variety of portfolio level business questions, using multiple data sources and technical tools• Support team initiatives including promotional effectiveness analyses, performance tracking and reporting, claims analyses, and other secondary data analyses• Clearly and concisely present analytic methodology, results, and insights to team and stakeholders• Provide objective analysis to support decision making and to enable the execution of key business initiatives• Partner effectively and collaborate with internal partners to provide analytical insights• Build peer support and strong internal relationships with colleaguesSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:• No supervisory responsibilitiesEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:Education:• BS/BA degree in a related discipline and three years of related experience; or• MS/MA degree in a related discipline and one year of related experience; or• Equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience/The Ideal Candidate will have:• At least three years analytical experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industries.• Oncology experience is strongly preferred.• Prior marketing analytics experience strongly preferredKnowledge/Skills:• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Thorough knowledge of pharmaceutical secondary data including sales and claims data, promotional & marketing data, and longitudinal patient level data• Hands-on experience analyzing large pharmaceutical secondary datasets (prescriber level, payer, patient / longitudinal, call activity) using advanced statistical techniques• Experience using patient level data (medical/retail claims) to analyze treatment/usage patterns• Experience with customer segmentation, targeting, and promotional response measurements• Demonstrated ability to structure and conduct analyses with strong problem-solving skills• Experience translating analyses into concise, compelling business stories that inform business decisions and strategy• Proven track record of working effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, multi-tasking environment• Thorough knowledge of standard business analysis and presentation software (Excel and Powerpoint). The base pay range for this position?is $126,000 - $178,500 annually. The base pay range may take into account the candidate’s geographic region, which will adjust the pay depending on the specific work location.
