Junior Staff Accountant
Full Time
$22-24/Hour
Location: Summer Bay Orlando by Exploria Resorts
Job Summary:
The Junior Staff Accountant for the Homeowners Association team will report directly to the Accounting Manager and theSenior Accounting Manager is responsible for assisting in all accounting functions related to the HOA side of Exploria Resorts business.
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
  • Preparing journal entries and assisting with monthly close processes (Bank Reconciliation).
  • Maintaining documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury.
  • Compile data and prepare a variety of reports.
  • Verifying the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records.
  • Data entry, filing, scanning, and maintaining accurate accounting records.
  • Recording journal entries (Including intercompany entries which will include various accounting departments).
  • Ad-hoc projects as needed.
  • Ensuring compliance with GAAP.
  • All other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • 1-2 years of experience in an accounting role is required.
  • Associates degree in accounting is required.
  • Knowledge of accounting software is a must.
  • Knowledge of bank reconciliations is required.
  • Knowledge of accounts receivables is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel with a strong aptitude for data analysis using advanced functions, formulas (VLOOKUP, IF Functions, Pivot Tables), and tables.
  • Comfortable with a fast-paced, demanding environment.
  • Ability to effectively manage time, multi-task, and prioritize projects to meet established deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and written.
  • Thoroughness in completing work assignments.
  • Ability to work individually with little supervision.
  • Excellent attention to detail, and follow-up.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of GAAP is preferred.
  • Vacation Ownership experience is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Position may require moving, lifting, sitting for long periods of time, and carrying files and/or boxes.
