team! Position OverviewThis position leads staff in the Title Services Department which includes Title Closing Specialist and Title and Escrow Officers in providing service and support to both internal and external clients by producing timely, efficient, accurate and regulatory compliant title commitments and policies, and providing closing and escrow functions for transactions with reports for title services documentation25%Title Services Documentation and Closing Coordination:Process incoming files to include reviewing documents, sales contracts, lender title orders, entering data into title production software, obtaining tax information, and requesting additional title informationMay perform title searches and examinations as neededPrepares, supervises and finalizes title commitments and title policiesFacilitates and supervises preparation of grant deeds, quitclaim deeds, notes, deeds of trust, requests for notice, subordination agreements, financing statements, and the likeWorks with the Title Services, Loan Services and Marketplace in resolving issues (e.g., legal descriptions, easements, lot splits, vesting, federal tax liens, liens, abstracts of judgment, bankruptcies, boundary disputes, and encroachments)Completes settlement statements based on appropriate documentationFollows company standards and practices when processing transactions, as well as applicable state laws and guidelinesCoordinates the closing of an escrow between the principals of the escrowCoordinate with underwriters or internal legal counsel as necessary for approval of items, or a related field,5+ years of direct experience in the land title industry, title agency management experience preferredA Missouri Title Agent License is preferred, or ability to obtain a Missouri license within 3 months of hiringValid Missouri driver’s licenseOr an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the jobRequired Knowledge and
