Maintenance Technician 2nd Shift

PositionSummaryWill be responsible for the safe completion of routine and non-routine repairs, as well as, performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of packaging machinery, pneumatic systems, motor controls, and miscellaneous industrialelectricalwiring.MustensureefficientproductionandcompliancewithallCompanyquality,safety,andGood Manufacturing Practices policies and procedures.EssentialFunctionsMaintain,troubleshoot,andrepairallproductionequipmentinassignedareaundertheguidanceofhigher-level production mechanics.Maintainopen,accuratecommunicationwithothermaintenanceemployeesaswellasproduction management.Completeallassignedworkorderscompletelyandaccuratelydocumentallprudentinformationdescribingthe completion of the work order.Workwithproductionoperatorstoidentifyprocessimprovementswhereverpossible.Adheretosafeworkpractices,followGMPandHACCPguidelines,maintainsanitaryconditionsandensurethat product quality is maintained to maintain SQF certification.Reporttomanagementanyconditionsorpracticesthatmayadverselyaffectfoodsafety,foodqualityor personnel safety.Performotherjob-relateddutiesasassigned.Qualifications(Education/Experience)HighSchoolDiplomaorGED.5yearsofplantmaintenancemechanicexperience;preferablyinafoodprocessingfacility.Abilitytoreadandinterpretdocumentssuchassafetyrules,operatingandmaintenanceinstructions,and procedure manuals.Knowledgeofgeneralmaintenanceactivitiesandprocedures.IntermediatecomputerskillsincludingexperiencewithMicrosoftOffice.Abilitytoworkwithbasicmathematicalconceptstoidentifysolutions.Abilitytosolvepracticalproblemsanddealwithavarietyofconcretevariablesinsituationswhereonlylimited standardization exists.Abilitytoworkinafast-pacedmanufacturingenvironment.Physical RequirementsThephysicaldemandsdescribedwithintheEssentialFunctionssectionofthisjobdescriptionarerepresentativeofthose that must be met by an employee to successfully perform this job.
