We are hiring a full-time U.S. Dept. of Defense Strategic Mission Analyst to support the US Army in collaboration with the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (OUSD) Cyber Warfare Directorate (CWD). In this role, you will directly contribute to the success of a high-profile DoD program with Congressional mandates for national security in military systems by leveraging your expertise in operations research, analytical computations, and advanced data analysis techniques, with a primary focus on supporting multi-attribute decision-making (MADM). You will assist in developing robust, repeatable methodologies that enhance decision-making processes and can be effectively applied to future evolutions. Additionally, you will play a key role in supporting the Cyber Risk Management Tool (CRMT) team, assisting in the design and enhancement of dashboard solutions that meet the specific needs of military analysts and decision-makers. This includes advising how to effectively translate complex data and analysis into clear, actionable insights for operational and strategic use. You will also utilize your technical leadership and team-building skills by guiding cross-functional teams to deliver timely, accurate results that inform executive-level decisions. Responsibilities
Responsibilities: * Operate as part of a small team to develop a new Department of Defense (DoD) project life cycle that yields quantified Impact to Mission deliverables to Combatant Commands at the strategic, operational, and tactical levels.
* Provide guidance on the design and implementation of dashboards that offer actionable insights to support Combatant Command (CCMD) decision-making. Mentor developers on how to tailor analytics tools to the specific needs and thought processes of military analysts, ensuring that dashboard functionalities align with operational and strategic priorities.
* Assist in solving Multi-Attribute Decision-Making (MADM) problems to help down-select system lists, designing a robust and repeatable methodology for future iterations. * Employ operations research techniques to conduct complex analysis and determine impacts of weighted interdependencies on operational mission requirements.
* Collect, organize and manage large amounts of information on Mission Essential Tasks (METs), Key Operational Information (OPLANs, Campaign Plans, etc.), Critical Assets, and Interdependency Metrics to analyze connections between resource capabilities and risk to operational and enduring mission requirements.
* Build relationships and network with multiple Military and Government organizations.
* Desire for continued development and open to learning new system and modeling platforms as they emerge.
* Ability to travel up to 50% including occasional international travel. * Trips are typically 1 week.
Education/Qualifications
Required: * Active U.S. Dept. of Defense Top Secret for Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) Clearance.
* Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field.
* 15+ years of experience working in or in support of military organizations at the operational or strategic levels.
* Expertise with Operations Research Analysis functions is required, for example: * Operational Assessments
* Data Collection and Database Management
* Military Decision Point Analysis
* Mathematical Modeling
* Transforming Complex Analysis into Executive-level Decision Support * Experience in leading diverse teams to meet timelines and deliverables.
* Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite software.
* Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
Preferred: * Current U.S. Passport.
* Master's degree in a STEM-related field.
* Knowledge of data analysis software (R, Python, SAS, etc).
* Experience working on or with Combatant Command (CCMD) Level Staffs.
* Experience with strategic planning, specifically related to campaign plans and war plans.
* Experience with the Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS), Mission Essential Task (MET) Development, Mission Assurance Decision Support System (MADSS), and/or Strategic Mission Assurance Data System (SMADS).
