We are seeking a Senior Accountant with a strong technology mindset to join our General Accounting team. This role goes beyond traditional accounting—ideal candidates will leverage data analytics, process automation, and visualization tools to drive efficiency, accuracy, and actionable insights across our financial operations.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual accounting processes and workflows
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate technology solutions into financial operations
- Develop dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI or similar platforms
- Train team members in new tools and technologies to ensure adoption
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and accounting trends to proactively recommend and implement process improvements
- Partner with stakeholders across Divisional Finance and Accounting COEs to improve financial and accounting accuracy
- Provide support for internal and external audits including control walkthroughs, documentation support and inquiry response
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate cross-functionally to meet strict project execution deadlines
- Resolve complex finance and accounting challenges
- Create and maintain documentation for automated processes and dashboards
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree (Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration) and 5 years of related experience required.
- Requires broad knowledge of accounting practices/principles and preparation of strategic recommendations to management.
- Proficiency in Excel.
Preferred:
- Minimum 3-5 years related experience in Financial Accounting or Public Accounting with a focus on process improvement and technology integration
- Excellent verbal, written, computer, financial data, internal consulting, and customer-focused communication and presentation skills
- Strong organizational skills with proven ability to follow through on multiple tasks and priorities
- Experience with process automation tools and familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate)
- Proficient with Microsoft suite of products; Advanced level skills in Excel
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently with precise detail and follow-up reporting
- Experience with SQL or other query languages for data extraction and transformation
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or partial progress
- Good working knowledge of the insurance brokerage business
- Public company audit or accounting experience
- Financial analysis and budgeting experience

We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
