As Gannett Fleming continues to expand our client and project portfolio in the West Region, we are excited to identify an experienced Construction Manager for medium to large scale Water / Wastewater related projects throughout Southern CA. Responsibilities:Interface with Construction Management Project on all facets of assigned projectsResponsible for overall on-site contract management, administration, project controls, and coordination on mid to large size projects of a diverse and complex natureMonitor and enforce contractor compliance with plans and specificationsSupervise and mentor assigned on-site construction administration and inspection staffAssist in the timely review and response to requests-for-information, clarifications, and interpretations of the contract documentsDevelop and maintain a professional working relationship with the client, contractor, and regulatory agenciesCoordinate and expedite the review of construction submittals / shop drawingsAttend periodic progress / coordination meetings and prepare meeting minutesReview and/or prepare requests for paymentReview daily reports, quantity calculations, and other reportsReview and evaluate change management requestsPrepare monthly project progress reportsPerform construction cost estimating, Biddability & constructability and value engineering reviewsAssist with business development activities, including client visitation and proposal writing.Minimum Qualifications:Must have similar prior experienced as a Construction Manager for significant water / wastewater conveyance, pumpstation and treatment facility projects to be considered for positionBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent is preferredCertified Construction Management (CCM through CMAA)EIT or PE is preferred, but not required5-8 years of related, relevant experience in various aspects of construction management Possess general knowledge of all disciplines of constructionUnderstand the major deliverable terms of the engineering and construction contracts and manage projects accordinglyProficiency with computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. is requiredExperience with other computer software (AutoCAD, Expedition / Contract Manager, P3 or P6, Timberline, etc.) is preferredStrong verbal and written communication skillsMust be able to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specificationsMust possess a valid driver’s license  Travel and overtime work will be requiredAt Gannett Fleming, we believe in improving the lives of the people we serve.
