Job Description Summary The Senior Staff MBE Technology Manager will develop and execute a strategic vision and guide the model based manufacture of hardware for multiple engine programs. This role requires collaborating across highly diverse technical teams and interfacing with key stakeholders in leadership. The individual in this role will provide technical prowess, strategic collaboration, and visionary leadership. The role reports to the MBE Capability Development Manager. The team mission is to build a digital ecosystem enabling GE Edison Works to deliver new state-of-the-art propulsion systems at the fastest rate possible. This role will utilize knowledge of engine design, quality, sourcing, manufacturing, and other process to set MBE targets and then execute to those targets. This role is based in Evendale, OH with on-site work expected at least 3 days a week. Job Description Essential Responsibilities • Lead teams to formulate, validate, and implement digital capabilities that improve data sharing and traceability in the GE Aerospace Supply Chain • Developing and embedding change to processes within manufacturing & inspection stages • Work alongside various subject matter experts across design, manufacture, and inspection • Work closely with internal manufacturing organizations to transition to new process • Validate, implement, and formulate , digital capabilities meeting Model Based Design-Manufacturing-Inspection (MB-DMI) objectives • Support engine programs and manufacturing sites in the transition to use model-based process • Lead efforts to solve both technical and schedule related problems • Adapt new technology in the field of Model Based Design-Manufacturing-Inspection (MB-DMI) • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other personnel • Communicate roadmap and progress to subject matter experts, program leaders, and business leaders • Ensure work is thoroughly documented Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in engineerring from accredited university or college • 12+ years of relevant experience (Design, Manufacturing, Ops, Project Management, Inspection) • Technical knowledge of manufacturing process • Technical knowledge of design process • Demonstrated leadership & project management • Strong oral and written communication skills. • Ability to be self sufficient • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs • Ability to analyze and resolve problems • Ability to influence cross functional teams • Ability to maintain or obtain a Government Security Clearance Desired Characteristics • 5+ years of experience in an aerospace or engineering position • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing process design • Technical knowledge of best practices in MB-DMI • Technical knowledge of product characteristic traceability • Technical knowledge of product definition standards and GD&T • Experience using Siemens NX CAD, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM/Teamcenter), Solumina, CAM, NC Programming #LI-RB1 This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
