Job Description Summary The North Americas (NAM) IT Leader is responsible for managing positive business relationships and ensuring effective operations of the IT department in support of GE Vernova's Power Conversion business objectives. The role will directly manage local services including end user, IT infrastructure services, export control (EC) local applications and project management for both internal IT and external customer products. The role will also partner with the broader Power Conversion's IT global organization for delivery of services related to military requirements and the continuous improvement of the applications that support business operations. Job Description Essential Responsibilities Client Support / Administration * Act as the escalation IT point of for support in the North Americas (NAM) Region and provide management and support for day-to-day IT operations and assistance with continuous improvement efforts. * Provide the direct delivery of IT solutions including local applications and/or oversight and coordination with other IT teams in their delivery of IT services.
* Manage the financial aspects of the IT Department, including budgeting, purchasing, cost optimization, and completing required internal reporting.
CTO Mgmt: Infrastructure and End User Support * Lead NAM IT infrastructure operational and strategic planning, including fostering innovation, reviewing projects, and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources.
* Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and support of all IT infrastructure components including servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, network devices and peripherals, site CCTV, site OT networks and access control systems.
* Oversee end-user services, including help desk and technical support services, and ensuring services meet or exceed Service Level Agreements and expectations.
Defense Contracts * Work closely with the cyber security team in the architectural design, development, delivery, and operation through life management of the IT infrastructure components of the IT solutions.
* Manage projects to achieve or maintain the required security certifications of the IT environments for GE Power Conversion globally. Manage projects to renew certifications following all guidelines of the appropriate local government(s).
* Develop and implement the IT policies and procedures, aligned with the Cyber Security team and business teams including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.
* Knowledge of NIST SP 800-171, POAM maintenance, and SPRS
* Possesses or can possess a Secret level DoD clearance.
* Preferred experience managing cybersecurity aspects of Insider Threat Programs
* Preferred experience as an ISSM (Information Systems Security Manager).
* Preferred experience with managing isolated classified IS systems for DoD contracts, including experience with the RMF process and eMASS.
* Preferred experience with processes and tools to manage US export-controlled data (ITAR, EAR) and CUI (Controlled unclassified data). CMMC experience would be a bonus.
IT People Management * Lead a team of employees and contractors focused across the digital operations space to include infrastructure, end user support, network, etc.
* Provides mentoring & develops key talent within information technology as well as the business.
* Ensures knowledge about the current infrastructure and IT environment and policies are shared across the team.
* Use disciplined approaches to monitor team progress via effective information dashboards for program velocity, burn-up, defect tracking, quality, and compliance. Required Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in the field of computer science or related discipline
* Minimum of 10 years of experience working in IT Infrastructure area
* Minimum of 5 years of experience managing projects or operations for companies that delivered Products or services for Defense clients. Desired Characteristics * Existing DoD Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
* In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and specific government requirements for IT security in Defence IT environments
* Familiarity with US and other Defence organisations' security requirements and accreditation processes is a must.
