Our work depends on Forklift Mechanic joining our team to work in a supply chain warehouse operation that processes Sponsor's worldwide cargo shipments. HOW A FORKLIFT MECHANIC WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
• Responsible for the proper repair and maintenance for a large fleet of forklifts and related equipment of various brands (predominately Raymond)
• Repair electric forklift/chargers, electric utility vehicles/chargers, electric pallet jacks, diesel engine drive forklifts, gasoline engine driven tug, and electric man lifts
• Candidate will possess capable mechanic skills to perform independently and without any immediate supervision
• Schedules, prioritizes, inspects and repairs forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, etc., determines within prescribed value range, when a major component, assembly is to be repaired, rebuilt, replaced or discarded
• Required to maintain forklift fleet and training vehicles, and prepares written estimates on cost and labor time for corrective repairs WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
• Education: High School Diploma/GED
• Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience
• Required Technical Skills: Extensive knowledge of the operating systems used in forklifts and associated hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems
• Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI w/Poly
• Required Skills and Abilities: Ability to weld simple parts, ability to operate a forklift, power tools, wrenches, diagnostic equipment, and jacks
• Location: Springfield, Virginia
