Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. What you bring to the table:

  • A Bachelor’s of Science or Technology degree, a related specialized area or field (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience interfacing with Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain.
  • Highly proficient in the use and understanding of electrical engineering concepts, principles, and theories relative to PWB design, manufacturing, and use; frequent contributor to the development of new theories and methods
  • Proven, effective leadership skills to guide work groups and programs to successful completion
  • Exceptional knowledge of the electrical engineering process relative to PWB design, manufacturing, and use.
  • Ability to travel as needed

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:

  • Assist design engineers with the selection of PWB materials, layer stack-up and fabrication to meet electrical design and DoD and commercial reliability requirements
  • Work closely with project engineers, customers, QA and Suppliers to ensure compliance to flow down requirements
  • Review new design PWB requirements and validate against supplier process capabilities
  • Develop PWB procurement drawings, design guidelines, fabrication guidelines, trade studies, analyses and other documentation
  • Participate in a Failure Review Board (FRB)/Material Review Board (MRB) teams as a technical expert on PWB design, construction and failure modes
  • Participate in supplier quality and capability audits
  • Participate and/or Support Source Inspection at suppliers
  • Initiate corrective and preventive actions when non-conformances are noted in GDMS products or the processes used to produce GDMS products
  • Apply IPC-A-600, AS9102 and other PWB standards during product development and manufacturing efforts
  • Work closely with Project Leaders, design engineers and other professionals on multiple project teams
  • Support and review cost, schedule and proposal estimates
  • Support occasional travel to meet with customers and suppliers and various GDMS sites
  • Work technical questions from the supplier with design engineering team to ensure no stoppage of work delaying delivery of products.
