This role requires strong interpersonal skills, a solid understanding of medical procedures, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals.
*Responsibilities*
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Provide basic life support as needed and assist in emergency situations.
- Maintain accurate medical records and document patient care activities in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Support nursing staff in delivering patient care within various departments, including Behavioral Health and PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit).
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care plans and needs.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.
- Assist with mobility needs, including transferring patients to and from beds or wheelchairs.
*Qualifications*
- Previous experience in a medical office or caregiving role is preferred.
- Knowledge of physiology and basic medical terminology is essential.
- Familiarity with medical records systems is a plus.
- Ability to perform basic life support techniques effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team-oriented environment.
