Do you have experience leading test system engineering projects & being a technical contact? This immediate opening offers working with a multi-discipline team in ABQ. Genuen is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to serve as a project & technical lead and assist in defining the project's schedule, budget, system requirements, conceptual designs and resource plan. The Genuen team includes nationally recognized subject matter experts in requirements traceability, software quality assurance processes, analog & digital test and measurement systems, and physical test systems including advanced motion control. We support our customers with end to end services, all culminating with simulation & physical test. Genuen is an ISO 9001:2015 certified company based in Lenexa, KS with offices in Illinois, New Mexico, and Michigan. This position is based on-site in Albuquerque, NM. Position Summary
• Project Lead – the primary technical contact for the client and technical leader of a multidiscipline project team.
• Review work products, provide design feedback and help to mitigate technical challenges.
• Prepare and install planning/requirement/test/certification solutions in accordance with project specifications and standards.
• Engage in client project initiatives that involve the development and delivery of turn-key hardware and software deliverables.
• Provide advice on project costs, design concepts and design changes.
• Ensure projects use appropriate hardware/software/system architectures.
• Prepare deliverables such as planning documents, requirements documents, design documents, review documents, test strategy, test scripts, and reports.
• Ensure appropriate metrics and performance goals are in place to measure and communicate progress.
• Identify Intellectual Property (IP) created for projects that is suitable for company reuse libraries and/or future product development.
• Mentor new team members through training required for team role.
• Work as a development engineer within the project. Position Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in computer/electrical engineering or another related field.
• 5+ years of systems engineering experience and 3+ years leading projects. • Experience developing and integrating software into complex systems for mission-critical applications.
• Experience leading system integration and test activities.
• Experience in a safety critical regulated industry is a plus.
• Prior experience cultivating and leading others to grow with respect to their technical abilities.
• Successful history of owning and executing task responsibility.
• Occasional travel as needed. • United States citizenship is required.
