Employee will be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology as well as a Registered Technologist (RT) with minimum one year experience in diagnostic radiology. Employee will also hold a current certification in in CPR (Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation).
As a MRI/CT Technician, you will operate the Magnetic Resonance Imaging equipment as well as the CT to produce tomographic films of designated portion of the human body for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in an outpatient setting.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
- Review Physician orders and obtain pertinent medical information to identify reason for the exam
- Screen patients for contraindications prior to entering the magnetic field
- Thoroughly explain the procedure to the patient
- Be able to select appropriate pad and coil and position for each patient
- Examine images following initial sequence and select location parameters for next scan
- Organize images, perform the scan, and transfer images to PACS system
- Perform minor maintenance and report of MRI equipment. Refer larger problems/issues to the Chief Technologist
- Practice proper safety techniques in accordance with departmental policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor

License/Certification Required:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with one (1) year of experience in diagnostic radiology
- Current CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) certification
