Providing support to manufacturing by analyzing crude raw materials, in-process, and finished products - solvent and refrigerant analysis; must be willing to work weekends and the afternoon/night/split shift.

Key Responsibilities:

• Successful candidate will perform a variety of analytical tests on samples, including refrigerant analysis

• Write up tests performed and log results in computer database

• Maintain records and results of all tests performed

• Ability to work independently and perform troubleshooting as needed

• Communicate and liaise with other departments

• Know and apply good laboratory practices

• Must be safety conscious, including housekeeping to maintain a safe work area

• Maintain good working relationship with co-workers, management and customers

• Some overtime required

• Other duties as requested by Supervisor


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Chemical Technician Diploma (or related field of study) with general knowledge of lab equipment (e.g., GC, GC/MS, ICP, UV/VIS, Karl Fischer and wet chemistry); excellent organizational skills; good communication skills (both written and oral).
