Restaurant Manager Responsibilities

  • Lead daily Front-of-House operations in a high-volume fine dining environment generating $10M+ in annual sales
  • Ensure consistent execution of elevated service standards and a refined guest experience
  • Oversee hospitality performance, guest satisfaction, and service recovery initiatives
  • Maintain full accountability for financial performance, including labor, revenue, and controllable costs
  • Manage inventory control systems and ensure accuracy in ordering, receiving, and cost management
  • Support training, development, and performance management of FOH team members
  • Enforce company systems, service standards, and operational procedures consistently
  • Collaborate with leadership teams to maintain alignment across FOH, BOH, and bar operations
  • Monitor performance metrics both quantitatively (sales, labor, cost) and qualitatively (guest experience, service execution)

Restaurant Manager Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Assistant General Manager experience in a full-service, upscale or fine dining restaurant
  • Proven experience in high-volume environments with $10M+ annual sales exposure
  • Strong understanding of fine dining service standards and elevated hospitality expectations
  • Demonstrated success in restaurants with structured systems, SOPs, and multi-layer leadership teams
  • Strong financial acumen with full accountability for P&L, labor, and inventory control
  • Experience with new restaurant openings (NRO) strongly preferred
  • Ability to evaluate performance using both subjective hospitality standards and objective financial metrics
  • Consistent career progression with demonstrated stability and leadership growth
