Controller – Hybrid


A respected restaurant group with a portfolio of 20 locations is seeking a dedicated controller to manage diverse financial operations and play a key role in accounting leadership. This is an exciting opportunity to support a growing hospitality company while working primarily remotely, with in-office leadership meetings only 1–2 times per month.

Controller Requirements & Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • CPA certification
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an assistant controller or in a similar accounting leadership position at a company with 10 or more locations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint


Controller Preferred Background & Skills


  • Familiarity with Compeat (CTUIT), Sage/FAS, and Sage Intacct software
  • Experience working with outsourced accounting providers
  • Hospitality or restaurant group background


Controller Day-to-Day Responsibilities


  • Oversee all fixed asset registers, depreciation books, asset impairment, and related reporting
  • Coordinate with facilities on construction, remodel, and CAPEX management
  • Prepare and coordinate financial reporting packages with international ownership
  • Support internal and external audit functions, acting as primary liaison for auditors
  • Manage the administration of the company’s gift card subsidiary
  • Collaborate throughout the annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting process
  • Fulfill ad hoc informational and reporting requests from parent company leadership
  • Assist with the establishment and management of internal audit procedures
