Maintenance Technician Requirements & Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience in a commercial or restaurant setting required
• Refrigeration, HVAC, and EPA Certification required
• Valid driver’s license for service call responsibilities
• Able to learn new skills and adapt quickly
• Proactive approach with a strong sense of initiative and teamwork
• Strong communication abilities

Maintenance Technician Preferred Background & Skills

• Experience with restaurant equipment, fryers, ice machines, and shake machines
• Plumbing and mechanical aptitude
• Comfortable operating tools and handling minor facility repairs (tile, painting, light electrical, plumbing)
• Familiarity with designing and installing HVAC systems
• Proficiency in equipment repair related to commercial kitchens

Maintenance Technician Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on various restaurant equipment and facility systems
• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC, refrigeration, ventilation, and cooking equipment
• Diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and replace defective parts as needed
• Complete service calls promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations
• Support general managers and restaurant teams with ongoing maintenance needs
• Contribute to a positive and team-oriented work environment
