Assistant Director of Catering & Events Requirements & Qualifications


  • 2–3 years of leadership or management experience (assistant manager, events lead, or similar)
  • 2+ years in hospitality, catering, private dining, or events
  • Back of house and kitchen experience strongly preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • TABC Certification and Texas Food Handlers Certification (manager certification preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
  • Availability for weekends, holidays, and extended hours during peak seasons
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods


Assistant Director of Catering & Events Preferred Background & Skills


  • Experience with R365, Square, or Tripleseat
  • Strong leadership presence and a team-focused mentality

Assistant Director of Catering & Events Day-to-Day Responsibilities


  • Act as a key partner and extension of the Director of Catering
  • Lead, coordinate, and oversee event execution, logistics, and staffing for a variety of catering events
  • Serve as the primary contact for select clients and high-profile events
  • Drive sales through relationship-building, outreach, and promotional initiatives
  • Support event forecasting, scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Train, mentor, and coach event staff to deliver consistent, high-quality service
  • Step in as departmental lead when required, ensuring operational excellence and organizational standards
