Outside Sales Engineer Account Manager HVAC Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with contractors, engineers, and key industry stakeholders
  • Promote and sell Core HVAC products including air distribution, packaged equipment, fans, and sheet metal items
  • Collaborate with Estimators to review project documents and prepare accurate, competitive quotations
  • Present product options, solutions, and value engineering recommendations to meet project goals
  • Manage and track multiple bids and opportunities while ensuring timely follow-up with customers
  • Provide high-quality customer service, technical support, and project guidance throughout the sales cycle
  • Coordinate with factory representatives to support product selection, pricing, and technical inquiries
  • Participate in jobsite visits, contractor meetings, and training sessions as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, and project details
  • Represent the company in a professional, solutions-oriented manner that strengthens brand trust and customer loyalty

Outside Sales Engineer Account Manager HVAC Qualifications:

  • Technical aptitude and interest in HVAC systems and commercial mechanical equipment
  • 1–3 years of sales or customer-facing experience; HVAC or construction industry experience preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret basic construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based software
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with sales and estimating teams
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
