One of the area's favorite Italian restaurants is opening and seeking a high-volume, hands-on Sous Chef for an Upscale concept in the Tampa, FL area. This successful leader will work hand in hand with the kitchen team to ensure the delivery of from-scratch picture-perfect food. This individual must have strong people skills with a strong desire to develop others, great organizational skills, and a passion for hospitality.

Sous Chef Responsibilities:

  • Lead, train, and motivate kitchen staff to deliver consistent, high-quality execution
  • Work directly on the line during service and lead by example in a hands-on capacity
  • Support the Executive Chef with daily kitchen operations, prep organization, and service execution
  • Ensure consistency, timing, and plating standards during high-volume service
  • Oversee inventory, ordering support, and kitchen organization
  • Maintain food cost awareness, waste control, and proper product utilization

Sous Chef Requirements:


  • 2–5+ years of Sous Chef or strong Kitchen Lead experience in an upscale or elevated restaurant
  • Experience in chef-driven or independent restaurant groups strongly preferred
  • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to lead from the line during service
  • Strong understanding of kitchen operations, prep systems, and service flow
  • Ability to stay calm and effective during high-volume, high-pressure service
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
