Key Responsibilities for Non-Ferrous Manager

• Oversee daily operations of the non-ferrous division, including purchasing, processing, grading, and outbound sales
• Develop and execute buying strategies to grow volume and margin
• Manage, train, and mentor yard personnel and sorters to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient material handling
• Maintain and expand relationships with dealers, peddlers, industrial accounts, and downstream consumers
• Coordinate shipments, logistics, and inventory control to maximize turns and cash flow
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards
• Monitor market trends and pricing to stay competitive and protect margin

Qualifications for Non-Ferrous Manager

• 5–10+ years of experience in non-ferrous scrap or recycling
• Deep knowledge of non-ferrous grades, specifications, and market pricing
• Proven success buying and selling non-ferrous scrap profitably
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and hold teams accountable
• Comfortable in a hands-on yard environment with a strong operational mindset
