Executive Chef Requirements and Responsibilities
- 3+ years of Executive Chef, Kitchen Manager, or Chef de Cuisine experience in a full-service restaurant, lodge, resort, or hospitality environment.
- Proven leadership experience managing kitchen teams in high-volume operations.
- Strong understanding of food cost controls, labor management, inventory systems, and purchasing.
- Experience creating menus, specials, and seasonal offerings.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment, maintenance, and operational best practices.
- ServSafe Manager Certification (or ability to obtain).
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Hands-on leadership style with a passion for coaching and developing others.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak seasonal periods.
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and mentor culinary staff.
- Create a positive, accountable, and team-oriented kitchen culture.
- Manage ordering, receiving, inventory, and product rotation.
