Superintendent Requirements & Qualifications
- Journeyman Plumber License from Hawaii or any U.S. state (actively pursuing Hawaii licensure if out-of-state)
- 8+ years of supervisory experience in plumbing or mechanical trades
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety standards
- OSHA 30 certification (required)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects
Superintendent Preferred Background & Skills
- Superintendent certification (CCER) preferred
- Project management and job costing experience
- Strong team leadership and performance evaluation skills
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to handle challenges on-site
- Forward-thinking and adept at contingency planning
Superintendent Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Oversee daily field operations across multiple job sites
- Supervise foremen, technicians, and craft workers
- Coordinate schedules, inspections, subcontractors, and site logistics
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and code requirements
- Manage project timelines, costs, and documentation
- Represent the company in project meetings and direct client interactions
- Resolve on-site productivity and workflow challenges
- Support apprenticeship training and skills development
