Sous Chef | Orland Park, IL
We are seeking a hands-on Sous Chef to join a quality-driven, full-service restaurant in Orland Park. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping kitchen operations, maintaining high standards, and developing a high-performing back-of-house team. Scratch kitchen experience is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Support daily kitchen operations and service execution
- Lead, coach, and develop line cooks and prep staff
- Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation, and timing
- Assist with inventory, ordering, and food cost management
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Help establish kitchen culture, systems, and operational standards
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Sous Chef or strong Kitchen Manager experience
- Full-service, high-volume restaurant experience required
- Scratch kitchen experience is a plus
- Strong leadership and expediting skills
- Proven ability to build and develop teams
- Stable career progression with a track record of reliability
Compensation & Benefits:
- $65,000 base salary
