Commercial Lines Insurance Sales Producer Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a licensed commercial lines sales role
• Valid state insurance license for commercial lines
• Proven experience working with general liability, workers’ compensation, E&O, D&O, professional liability, and commercial auto coverages

Commercial Lines Insurance Sales Producer Preferred Background & Skills

• Skilled in developing and maintaining professional relationships
• Strong communicator, both verbally and in writing
• Proficient with computers and insurance software for data entry and processing

• Prospect and generate leads through networking, referrals, outbound calls, and marketing initiatives
• Build and nurture relationships with centers of influence and referral partners
• Consult with clients to assess insurance needs, explain coverage options, and present proposals
• Prepare, present, and follow up on customized insurance quotes and documentation
• Maintain client satisfaction and retention by fostering long-term relationships
• Close sales by converting leads into clients and meeting or exceeding targets
• Stay current on industry trends, insurance products, and regulatory changes
• Complete necessary paperwork and maintain accurate client records
