Kitchen Manager Requirements & Qualifications

  • Lead, train, and mentor the BOH team, ensuring efficient operations and high food quality.
  • Uphold food safety and sanitation standards, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
  • Monitor inventory, ordering, and food costs to ensure profitability and waste control.
  • Effectively manage labor costs by creating efficient schedules, monitoring staffing needs, and controlling overtime.
  • Manage kitchen staff scheduling, performance, and development.
  • Work closely with FOH leadership to ensure seamless service and communication.

Kitchen Manager Preferred Background & Skills

  • Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or similar culinary leadership role in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop kitchen staff.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and health codes.
