General Manager Requirements & Qualifications


  • Proven experience in hotel operations management, with a passion for guest and employee satisfaction
  • Strong knowledge of hotel sales and the extended-stay sector
  • Knowledgeable about golf, as it is a big part of the properties' amenities
  • Ability to work independently within company guidelines
  • Familiarity with revenue management practices and financial forecasting
  • Willingness to live onsite and be a visible, accessible leader


General Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities


  • Oversee hotel operations and ensure high standards of guest service and staff engagement
  • Manage operating budgets, forecast expenses and revenues, and control costs while achieving profit goals
  • Respond personally to guest concerns and lead guest satisfaction efforts
  • Provide leadership and fair, professional HR administration; conduct wage surveys and manage team performance
  • Collaborate with sales and revenue management to optimize occupancy and rates
  • Foster a dignified environment as a visible, approachable role model for guests and staff
