Sous Chef Requirements & Qualifications


  • 3+ years of experience in a scratch, fine-dining or upscale-casual kitchen
  • High-volume kitchen experience
  • Strong attention to quality and adherence to standards
  • Hands-on, team-oriented leadership style


Sous Chef Day-to-Day Responsibilities


  • Train, coach, and support kitchen staff with ongoing feedback
  • Ensure consistent quality of food and service
  • Maintain a clean, organized kitchen that meets all health and safety guidelines
  • Oversee food ordering and assist with food and labor cost management
  • Manage staff scheduling and support efficient operations
