Personal Lines Account Manager Requirements & Qualifications


  • Active Property & Casualty license, or ability to obtain within 90 days (required for commission eligibility)
  • 3+ years of personal lines account management experience
  • Proven experience quoting and renewing personal lines policies
  • Ability to independently manage a full book of accounts and prioritize effectively
  • Customer-focused mindset and strong communication skills
  • Familiarity with a wide mix of personal lines products (home, auto, umbrella, boat)


Personal Lines Account Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities


  • Manage an assigned book of personal lines accounts with full ownership of each client relationship
  • Act as the primary contact for client inquiries, endorsements, policy changes, and coverage questions
  • Quote and remarket new and renewal business as needed
  • Support clients throughout the entire claims process, as there is no separate claims department
  • Ensure accurate policy documentation and workflow management within the agency system
  • Collaborate with internal service staff and insurance carriers to resolve policy issues
  • Deliver a high-touch, customer-first experience while balancing volume and attention to detail
