Sous Chef Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
  • Oversee kitchen staff and help cultivate a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Contribute to menu planning and development, emphasizing seasonal and innovative dishes.
  • Implement and maintain kitchen policies and procedures to uphold cleanliness, safety, and efficiency.
  • Monitor and control food and labor costs, working closely with the Executive Chef to optimize kitchen performance.

Sous Chef Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager in a high-volume, upscale-casual or fine dining establishment.
  • Strong culinary skills and a deep appreciation for quality ingredients and creative plating.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a focus on teamwork and mentorship.
  • Familiarity with inventory management, ordering procedures, and kitchen systems.
