Senior Personal Lines Account Manager Requirements & Qualifications


  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Personal Lines insurance required
  • Property & Casualty Insurance License required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, maturity, and professionalism in all client and team interactions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Epic and Singlepoint preferred
  • Ability to work independently and manage more complex client service needs
  • Prior experience mentoring or supporting junior team members is a plus


Senior Personal Lines Account Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities


  • Manage a higher-volume personal lines book of business, providing proactive and individualized customer service
  • Respond promptly and accurately to more complex customer inquiries regarding policies, coverages, billing, and claims-related issues
  • Oversee processing of new policies, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and related documentation to ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Maintain and update client and policy information within the agency management system
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, helping clients understand their insurance options and guiding them through coverage recommendations
  • Review renewals for accuracy and recommend coverage adjustments where appropriate
  • Prepare quotes for new and existing clients as requested
  • Communicate with carriers to resolve underwriting, billing, rating, and policy servicing issues
  • Handle escalated customer concerns efficiently and professionally, escalating major issues to leadership as needed
  • Collaborate with team members and support agency goals through strong service, retention, and cross-sell awareness
  • Assist in training and guiding less experienced team members as needed
  • Ensure all account management activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements
