Manager Requirements & Qualifications


  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a restaurant manager or supervisory role
  • No more than 2 jobs in the past 5 years
  • Knowledge of current labor laws, alcohol beverage regulations, and state wage standards
  • Up-to-date ServSafe, Choke Saver, and Tips certifications
  • Experience with scheduling, budgeting, and staff training
  • Strong understanding of customer service and hospitality standards


Manager Preferred Background & Skills


  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team
  • Experience conducting audits and corrective actions
  • Familiarity with hiring, onboarding, and progressive discipline processes


Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities


  • Direct all FOH employees to deliver an outstanding dining experience every shift
  • Monitor and uphold food, beverage, and service standards at all times
  • Manage scheduling, FOH staffing, and payroll processes efficiently
  • Oversee onboarding, training, and ongoing staff education
  • Ensure adherence to purchasing and labor budgets, implementing corrective actions as needed
  • Conduct regular audits—tables, tickets, employee files—and act on findings
  • Lead daily pre-shift meetings and ongoing training sessions
  • Participate in manager meetings and handle performance reviews
