General Manager Requirements & Qualifications

• 1-3 years of Assistant general manager experience in a quick service restaurant or high-volume (over $2M revenue) burger or chicken brand
• Stable work history with extended tenure at recent employers
• Strong track record in leadership, recruiting, and team development
• Proven ability to manage P&L and drive profitability
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Assistant General Manager Preferred Background & Skills

• Experience with burger or chicken brands such as Wendys, McDonalds, Burger King, Chick-fil-A, Popeyes, Taco Bell, White Castle, or Shake Shack

Assistant General Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and cleanliness
• Consistently execute company standards, systems, and procedures
• Lead, train, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive work environment
• Manage financial performance, including sales, labor, and food costs, to achieve targets
• Ensure outstanding guest service and promptly resolve customer concerns
• Drive sales growth, local marketing initiatives, and operational excellence
• Monitor key performance indicators: sales, labor, food costs, and customer satisfaction
