Chef de Cuisine

We are hiring a Chef de Cuisine for a high-volume, refined restaurant focused on elevated levels of service, cuisine, and execution. This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced, scratch kitchen where consistency, organization, and attention to detail are critical. The menu is ingredient-focused and requires a disciplined approach to preparation, cooking, and plating. This role is responsible for leading back-of-house operations, maintaining culinary standards, and driving performance across prep, service, and cost controls.

Ideal Candidate

  • 3+ years of BOH leadership experience in a high-volume, elevated full-service restaurant
  • Proven ability to lead and develop kitchen teams in a structured, standards-driven environment
  • Strong understanding of food cost, labor management, and overall kitchen financials
  • Experience working with quality-driven menus that require precision and consistency
  • Calm, decisive leadership style during high-pressure service
  • Hands-on presence in both prep and service with strong attention to detail
  • Background in elevated or technique-driven kitchens strongly preferred
  • Experience with live-fire or similar cooking methods is a plus, but not required

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all back-of-house operations with accountability for execution, standards, and team performance
  • Manage food cost, labor, and inventory to align with financial targets
  • Oversee ordering, receiving, and product handling with a focus on quality and consistency
  • Maintain disciplined prep systems, pars, and kitchen organization
  • Drive execution during service with a focus on timing, accuracy, and plate consistency
