General Manager Requirements & Qualifications

Must Haves:

  • 3+ years of General Manager experience in full-service, high-volume restaurants
  • Proven ability to manage $4M+ in annual sales volume
  • Strong financial acumen, including P&L ownership, labor management, and cost controls
  • Track record of developing and promoting leaders from within
  • Hands-on leadership style with strong floor presence
  • Experience in driving guest satisfaction and managing online reputation

Day-to-Day / What You’ll Own:

  • Lead all restaurant operations with a strong focus on execution, food quality, and hospitality
  • Build and maintain a high-performing management and hourly team through coaching and accountability
  • Manage labor, food cost, and controllable expenses to drive profitability
  • Oversee scheduling, staffing plans, and peak volume readiness
  • Ensure consistency in scratch kitchen execution and steakhouse standards
  • Drive local store marketing and community engagement initiatives
  • Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and brand standards
  • Analyze weekly financials and implement action plans to improve performance

General Manager Preferred Background & Skills:
