Sales Manager Requirements & Qualifications


  • Experience in fire protection sales management is required
  • Prior experience leading or mentoring a team is required
  • Experience leading other sales managers is required.
  • A bachelor’s degree/Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms and strong computer skills are required
  • Understanding of sales pipelines, forecasting, and territory management
  • Strong conflict resolution and negotiation abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to motivate, lead, and develop team members


Sales Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities


  • Lead, mentor, and supervise all sales department staff, including recruiting, training, and performance management
  • Set and track performance expectations, including KPIs like revenue and conversion rates
  • Oversee department budgeting and participate in monthly and annual financial procedures
  • Drive business development through contract negotiation, proposals, and relationship building
  • Manage the full sales process from lead follow-up to securing new contracts and renewals
  • Collaborate regularly with operations and finance teams to align strategies
  • Execute sales and marketing initiatives such as cold calling and telemarketing
  • Resolve escalated customer issues and ensure high standards through periodic field inspections
