Pediatric - Speech-Language Pathologist

Speech-Language Pathologist Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, and communication disorders for pediatric patients from birth through age 21
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on each child's unique needs
• Provide evidence-based speech and language therapy in an outpatient pediatric setting
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to maximize outcomes
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, physicians, educators, and multidisciplinary providers to support each child's development
• Educate families on speech and language development while providing strategies for continued success at home
• Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with clinical standards

Speech-Language Pathologist Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
• Current New York State SLP license (or eligibility)
• Clinical Fellowship (CFY) candidates are encouraged to apply
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Pediatric experience is preferred, but new graduates with a passion for working with children are welcome
• Experience with pediatric feeding therapy and dysphagia is a plus (training available)
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, family-centered environment
