Head Baker Requirements & Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of leadership experience in a high-volume bakery, pastry, or dessert concept
  • Strong scratch baking background with knowledge of doughs, breads, pastries, cookies, and laminated products
  • Experience managing production schedules, ordering, inventory, and food cost controls
  • Ability to lead, train, and hold a team accountable in a fast-paced environment

Must Haves:

  • Ability to create and maintain bakery production systems, pars, recipes, and quality standards
  • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to jump into production during peak periods
  • Experience forecasting production needs based on sales trends and seasonal demand
  • Strong understanding of sanitation, food safety, labor management, and operational efficiency

Head Baker Preferred Background & Skills:

  • Experience with new store openings or scaling bakery operations
  • Experience with cakes
  • Culinary or pastry education preferred
