General Manager Requirements & Qualifications


  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant NYC GM experience.
  • Intuitive understanding of full-service, casual upscale restaurant service.
  • Strong financial acumen, including understanding P&L, COGs, and operational excellence.
  • Ability to demonstrate accurate cash handling and reconciliations.
  • State-required food safety certifications.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Strong people management experience and abilities.


General Manager Preferred Background & Skills


  • Extensive food and beverage knowledge.
  • Sufficiently technically savvy to become proficient with key systems and IT infrastructure (reservation platforms, inventory management systems, point of sale systems).
