Restaurant General Manager

We are seeking an experienced and motivated General Manager to oversee the daily operations of a fast-paced pizzeria in New York City. The General Manager is responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining food quality standards, managing staff, and driving profitability. This role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and a passion for hospitality and great pizza.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all day-to-day operations of the pizzeria, including front-of-house and kitchen activities.

Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and supervise staff members.

Ensure excellent customer service and resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.

Maintain high standards for food quality, safety, and cleanliness in compliance with NYC health regulations.

Manage inventory, food costs, and supplier relationships.

Monitor financial performance including sales, labor costs, and profitability.

Implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency.

Coordinate opening and closing procedures and ensure security of the premises.

Develop and execute local marketing and promotional strategies.

Foster a positive and productive work environment.

Qualifications

3+ years of restaurant management experience.

Strong leadership and team-management skills.

Full P&L accountability

Knowledge of food safety regulations and restaurant compliance standards.

Experience with POS systems and restaurant management software.

Ability to manage budgets, labor costs, and inventory.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience managing a high-volume pizzeria or fast-casual restaurant.

Knowledge of New York-style pizza operations.

Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Italian) is a plus.
