Multi Unit Operations Plant Manager Requirements & Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree desirable
  • At least 5 years in a Plant Manager role overseeing 100+ employees or 10 years in Production Management or similar fields
  • In-depth knowledge of EHS systems, Lean Manufacturing, finance, Six Sigma tools, and quality management systems
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification desirable
  • Successful experience managing human and material resources and achieving safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and cost performance objectives
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and computer skills (including Google Suite)


Multi Unit Operations Plant Manager Preferred Background & Skills


  • Experience in glass, building products, shower door, or window manufacturing
  • Demonstrated use of Six Sigma and Lean practices in process improvement


Multi Unit Operations Plant Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities


  • Lead a culture of safety and EHS compliance across multiple sites
  • Oversee all plant operations, including manufacturing, engineering, purchasing, logistics, quality, and EHS
  • Drive operational excellence to achieve production, quality, and productivity targets
  • Develop and mentor site leaders and managers; promote employee development at all levels
  • Manage annual operating plans, financial performance (P&L), and investment projects to align with business strategies
  • Implement and sustain continuous improvement initiatives through Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen activities
  • Ensure compliance with corporate initiatives, quality standards, and customer requirements
