Control Panel Manufacturing Supervisor – Dayton, OH

We are seeking a Control Panel Manufacturing Supervisor to lead and actively participate in the assembly and wiring of industrial control panels for custom furnace systems. This is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Dayton, OH.


This position is ideal for an experienced panel builder ready to step into a team leadership role while remaining hands-on in the build process.


Position Overview

The Supervisor of Control Panel Manufacturing reports to the Engineering Manager and leads a team of 1–5 panel builders. This role combines technical panel-building expertise with leadership responsibility, ensuring quality, accuracy, and production efficiency from assembly through pre-start-up preparation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and train a team of 1–5 electrical panel builders
  • Assemble electrical components and wiring layouts for industrial control panels
  • Coordinate with Engineering to interpret and execute panel build drawings
  • Identify wiring or schematic discrepancies and communicate corrections to Engineering
  • Run and pull wire through conduit; bend and securely mount conduit
  • Prepare panels for technician commissioning and assist with burner test-fire setup
  • Maintain quality control standards and ensure adherence to production procedures
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required (technical degree preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial control panel building or related electrical work
  • Proven leadership experience or readiness to supervise a small team
  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • 240V/480V single- and three-phase systems
    • AC and DC control circuits
    • Electrical schematics and 2D blueprints
  • Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license

Preferred Experience

  • Understanding of UL 508A standards
  • Experience in custom industrial machinery or furnace systems
  • Exposure to high-temperature or manufacturing environments

Work Environment

  • Combination of office and factory/shop floor setting
  • Frequent standing, bending, climbing, and lifting (up to 40 lbs.)
  • Noise levels range from moderate to loud
  • Occasional overtime and limited travel may be required
