Maintenance Manager Requirements & Qualifications


  • Minimum 5+ years of maintenance leadership in CPG, food and beverage, or high-speed manufacturing
  • Strong working knowledge of automated production equipment and packaging lines
  • Hands-on experience with PLCs, motors, drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems
  • Proven ability to lead, train, and develop technical teams
  • Experience implementing preventive maintenance programs and utilizing CMMS systems
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • In-depth understanding of OSHA, GMP, and safety compliance requirements


Maintenance Manager Preferred Background & Skills


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related technical field
  • Experience in food manufacturing with GMP and sanitation requirements
  • Exposure to lean, TPM, or Six Sigma methodologies
  • Capital project management and equipment installation experience


Maintenance Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities


  • Lead preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for high-speed automated machinery
  • Develop and manage PM schedules to ensure maximum equipment uptime
  • Analyze downtime data, identify root causes, and implement reliability improvements
  • Manage, train, and develop maintenance technicians, electricians, and mechanics
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, food safety standards, and company policies
  • Oversee maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and vendor relationships
  • Partner with operations and engineering on equipment upgrades and capital projects
  • Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
